Asino Foundation for Oncological Neurosurgery
Global Training Project 2022
The traditional training of a neurosurgeon requires the use of cadavers and is extremely expensive. In large parts of the world, this represents a limitation to the possibilities of young neurosurgeons to train and practise. The Global Training Project was created precisely with the aim of providing the same training opportunities for everyone, worldwide.
The traditional training of a neurosurgeon requires the use of cadavers and is extremely expensive. In large areas of the world, this represents a limitation to the possibilities of young neurosurgeons to train and practise.
The Global Training Project was created precisely with the aim of providing the same training opportunities to everyone, worldwide. This will allow the emergence of a new generation of highly trained neurosurgeons and consequently save the lives of more and more patients.
Coordinated by the WFNS Young Neurosurgeons Forum, the project organises training courses around the world, held by local professors, to improve the psycho-motor skills of neurosurgeons.
Asino Foundation on 9 September 2022 decided to finance the eight GTP 2022 meetings: Morocco (Dr. Fahd Derkaoui Hassani), Brazil (Prof. Luis A B Borba), Cameroon (Dr. Ignatius Esene), Venezuela (Dr. Raul Augusto Echeverri), Kenya (Dr. Beverly Cheserem), Brazil (Dr. Nicole A. Silva), Egypt (TBC) and Nigeria (Dr. Omotayo Abimbola Ojo).
